"Well fuck my old boots!"

So much more effective when written out in full than FMOB.

Fact is that they had currency union with no political union - it was bound to happen. And Germany takes a large part of the blame for failing to take this into account.

Re: Greece: Nai or Oxi?

Why did the Germans get to write down their debts in the 50s?

And simply put, if the Germans want to keep the European currency that they dominate to their great competitive advantage to continue then they need to find a way out of this.

Does that include the money they have essentially been lent at virtually zero interest to put liquidity back into the market?

Why do the Germans get to lend irresponsibly to the Greeks?

Re: Greece: Nai or Oxi?
Simplistic or not, why do you think the Greeks deserve to borrow billions from Mainly Germany and then not repay it...?

The Greeks need to be thrown out of the Euro and declared bankrupt. At least we'll all get very cheap holidays again....

'And why should the Germans pay for the Greeks to retire earlier?'

Seriously? That's what this is all about? The Greeks asking for debt write off & restructuring so they can retire early? Well fuck my old boots! The things you learn on here are just incredible, or they would be if they weren't written by simplistic morons!

Re: Greece: Nai or Oxi?
Befnal...in 1960 the Germans paid Greece 115DM in reparations for the war. This was made legally binding some time in 1990.

Not saying that was too much or too little, just that the Greeks agreed to it.

And why should the Germans pay for the Greeks to retire earlier?

Re: Greece: Nai or Oxi?
There's a list doing the rounds on social media that shows a huge list of banks next to figures in the billions and trillions that have been used to bail them out.

The list is almost a total fabrication and has duped many righteous individuals into reposting it many times in their fury at the Germans and the Tories.

Re: Greece: Nai or Oxi?
Both sides deserve the mess they find themselves in. The Greeks for lying and cooking the books upon EU entry, and the rest of the EU for letting them in with full knowledge of the lies.

Most of the blame lays with Tsipras and his party for lying to the Greek population during the election, months back. At least then they were running a primary budget surplus and tax receipts were on the up. Now? Well.....it's plain for all to see.

As for the IMF saying they need a debt hair cut...where the hell did that suddenly come from..? Hmmm...I wonder.

I'm not a fucking idiot who needs to have these things spelt out, I'm making a point that an answer can always be found if governments want it to happen. Perhaps if all those countries, including Greece, told the Germans to fuck off & pay their dues all those years ago, then maybe there would be no Germany dominated euro zone.

And that my friend is it in a nutshell! Forget half the shit on this thread, it's a man made problem & there could be a man made solution if the will was there. Only a matter of time before the Germans go goose stepping into Greece!

You get a mortgage that you can never pay back then cry until the creditors let you of of a large percentage of it then whinge you can't afford to pay any of it back so borrow more every month to pay the mortgage back then whinge throw your toys out of the pram and say you don't want to play anymore. I can't see what the problem is
